Basics of Computer

Computer
-        Computer is an electronic device which takes raw data as Input than process on that inputed  gives us desired Output.
-        Computer is very high speed electronic machine which works  on the Millions of instructions per second (MIPs).

Comparison between computer and human brain :
                 i.          Computer works with the help of electricity whereas human brain works on pulses.
                ii.          Computer has no IQ level whereas human brain has IQ.
               iii.          Computer never tired with its works but human brain tired after a certain time.
               iv.          Computer has limited storage capacity where as human brain has unlimited storage capacity.
                v.          Computer has np feelings whereas human brain has feelings.

Characteristics of Computer :
                 i.          Speed :- Computer is very high speed electronic machine which works  on the Millions of instructions per second (MIPs).
                ii.          Accuracy :- Computer will always gives us accurate result i.e 100%.It depends on the Instructions given by the users .
               iii.          Diligence :- Computer will never tired from its work even it regularly works for many hours .
               iv.          Versatility :- Computer is a versatile machine because it can handle different types of works at a same time.
                v.          No IQ ( INTELLIGENT QUOTIENT ) :-  Computer has no IQ level because it can not perform anything without any instructions given by the users.
               vi.          Storage :- Computer has limited storage capacity but its storage is quite enough to store data given by the users.

-        In every field of business computer play bidal role to forecast sales reports, employee reports, business analysis, etc.

•        Banking
-        In every field of banking whole reports of customer as well as Employee.
-        It’s also uses in ATMs transections.
-        It’s major area is in online banking , where customer know every details about its account.
-        Like :-  Account balance , Transections and Transections History.

•        Insurance
-        In the field of insurance customer start any policy plan .
-        To know due date , time & maturity date
-        Also know about Interest rate & pay it’s policy plan , etc.

-        Education is one of the most important area where computer is used to deliever every things either Audio , Audio Visual formats.
-        Like :- Edu Comp Smart Class , Meritnation , etc.

•        Healthcare
-        In health sector area computer is used to measure ECG (electro cardiogram) , CITY scan , ICU (intension care unit) ,Diagnostics report , lab and Patients reports.

-        In this area of marketing mainly I is used for advertisements and online shopping’s.
-        Like :- Flipkart , Amazon , Myntra , Snapdeal etc.

•        Defence
-        In this field of defence the major area where computer is used in mesial launching , Bom planning , flight simulation , etc.

-        Government uses computer to know about its budgets , male – female ratio (populations) , weather forecasting and other Government areas.

•        Communication
-        Computer is used in the area of communication like Email , Chatting , FTP (file transfer protocol), Tel-Net , video conferencing , team viewer.

•        Engineering Designs
-        In the area of engineering computer is used to design different types of architecture using different types of software’s.
-        Like :- CAD (Computer Added Design) & CAM (Computer Added Machine)

History of Computer
                           i.          Abacus is first calculating device which is also known as First computer at that time for calculation. It is developed in China in the city Babylon.

                          ii.          Pascaline is developed by Blaise Pascal to perform simple Addition and Subtraction. It is also know as adding machine.

                         iii.          Napier’s Bone is developed by John Napier’s for calculation of Multiplication and Division. He uses nine ivory bone in its Pascaline to perform these calculations.

                         iv.          Charles Babbage developed difference engine which solving complex calculations. Further he has developed analytical engine to solve different types of expression that’s why he also known as the father of computer.

                          v.          Lady Ada Augusta is known as the first programmer who uses binary number system in its programme  at the first time.
